Web Comics

I love 'em. They're (almost always) funny, (usually) about current events, and updated on a regular basis (if God loves you that week). Here are a few that I check out regularly:

PVP
Penny Arcade
Atland
Alien Loves Predator
ButterNutSquash

If you like them, make sure to check out the previous archived strips.

NOTE: In PVP there's a running gag that kills me everytime they use it. I've called it the "General Lee gag" (click for 9/27/05 strip that uses that joke). Basically, one character says something like "Hey, ___ is happening across town! If we take ___, we can get there fast." The other character says "No, the traffic will slow us down too much. Unless..." The last scene is them do a "Dukes of Hazzard" jump across a broken bridge in the General Lee.

BACK to civilization!

I'm back! Channels in the right place, NBC is on 4, CBS is on 2, etc, etc.. I can take the subway. I can go to the store without getting stared at, too hard. I can LIVE!

WOO-HOO! NYC, here I come!

Tomorrow, I'll be flying back home to NYC! I love my parents, but dag, I really don't like Florida. I don't know how people deal with it. I mean, it's cool for old people and people who like a slow-paced life, but there is nothing, NOTHING, like NYC. Yes, I know Miami is more fast-paced than West Palm Beach, but it's NOT NYC.

TRAPPED!

Yes, trapped in Florida. ZERO bars on my cell phone. CRAPPY dial-up internet connection. Parents are TIGHT with the car. The buses (which I'm not taking) run once every 30 minutes, IF you're lucky. And NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, is within walking distance. Man... I can't wait to get back to NYC!

Check out these two pics:

My parents' new stove. It's one of those "magnetic induction" stoves, so there's no flame, just a red light.

And, these are "sugar apples" that my mom grows in her yard. They look weird, but they're very sweet inside.
